Wake Up! Cairo Hostel is located at 33A Ramses Street, downtown , Cairo, Egypt. Go up by the Elevator to the seventh  floor. We are right in downtown Cairo, only 2 minutes from the World Famous Egyptian Museum and across the street from  Nasser Subway station.

Airport Transfer
The Cairo International Airport is some distance from downtown Cairo so let us help you get here. Book 2 nights in double occupancy, and get a FREE pick-up from the airport.

Payment Policy
Payment must always be paid upon check-in for all nights that you have booked.
Check out time is 12 pm.
We receive Hostel bookings through the internet everyday, as well as walk-ins.
Our Goal is to make sure that every guest has a room available for their requested stay.
If you are not sure of the number of nights you want to stay here, pay 24 hours in advance of each night to keep your room.
Note that if you only reserve 24 hours in advance, the room will become open to availability after that 24 hours. If no advance payment has been received, we will be open to accept new reservations and your room may no longer be available to you.
Payment is only accepted in cash.
We accept the following currencies: Egyptian Pounds, Canadian Dollars, US Dollars, Euros or English Pounds. If you have a different form of currency please check with the front desk to see if we can accept it. If we cannot accept your form of currency there are many Bank Machines next to the hostel where you can get money in Egyptian Pounds.

Travel Desk
We can provide you with all the information you might need for your travel around Egypt, in addition to a free map of Cairo.
Our travel desk at the hostel arranges tours of Cairo or other places in Egypt that you would like to see.

Internet Access
We have computers with internet access for only 10 Egyptian Pounds per hour (5 Egyptian Pounds for a half hour). To connect a laptop its cost 20 Egyptian pounds for 24 hours open access .

Laundry Service
Let our staff wash your laundry for you. The cost is 2 Egyptian Pounds per item. Price includes washing machine, soap and drying hangers. All the laundry is air dried so expect 24 hours before your clothes are ready to wear.

Bathrooms / Showers
Wake Up! Cairo Hostel has 4 common bathrooms with showers, and two Rooms with their own private bath and shower. Our bathrooms are always stocked with toilet paper and are cleaned 6 times a day. All of the showers have electric water-heater . Towels are available upon request.

Nearby Restaurants
Being downtown, Wake Up! Cairo Hostel is very close to many places to eat. For Western Food, we have a McDonald's, KFC, Hardees and Pizza Hut all within a 5 minute walk from the Hostel.
There are several good Egyptian fast food restaurants within 5 minutes as well, like Abu Tarek , Felfela Restaurant and El Quazaz. After a hard day of exploring you may not want to walk around, that is okay because everyone delivers in Cairo nowadays, just talk to the front desk.
If you have a sweet tooth, you are in luck because the Canadian Hostel is located directly above Crystal Bakery.

Guest Kitchen
If you choose to buy your own food, the Hostel has a kitchen you can use to prepare your meal. We only ask you to keep the kitchen clean by cleaning up your dishes when you are done. Your accommodation includes breakfast, which is served in the Common Room from 8Am to 11Am. If at any time you would like a tea or coffee, ask our front desk to make it for you. There is a refrigerator stocked with water and soda pop for sale.

Telephone
The Hostel does not have a pay phone, yet you may receive incoming calls free of charge. All outgoing calls are charged at .50 Egyptian Pounds per minute. Phone Cards are available at the front desk for long distance calls. Because this is the primary phone for the Hostel all calls have a 5 minute maximum duration. If you need to make longer calls than that the front desk staff will kindly direct you to nearby pay phones.

Common Room
Our Arabian style Common Room has satellite television, a library and games for you to enjoy. This room is where breakfast is served every morning.

Rooms and Dorm Room
Each room in Wake Up! Cairo Hostel has a different design and different theme , comfortable beds. All of our rooms have air-conditioning, excluding the Dorm room. All of our rooms are Non-Smoking (burning of incense is also not permitted). There is a designated smoking area near our computer area. Food is not permitted in the rooms. If you have food, please eat it in the common room or smoking area, and store it in the refrigerator.

Safety Boxes
There are locked safety boxes for storage of your valuables, with a deposit.

Luggage Storage
There is a locked storage where you can store your luggage. This service is most often used by people staying in the Dorm room when they are out exploring Cairo. Please make sure your name is clearly written on your luggage.

Smoking Area
Wake Up! Cairo Hostel's rooms are all non-smoking. If you do smoke, we have a designated smoking area where you can try out cheap Egyptian cigarettes.
